Last week in Scoil Mhuire, we had a tremendous time marking Stand Up Awareness Week. It is a week dedicated to raising awareness of and preventing homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying to make our schools safer and more inclusive places for all.
From our raising of the Pride Flag to our bake sale in aid of LGBT Ireland and ShoutOut, to our talk from guest speaker @valeriemulcahey and our LGBTQ music Zumba, a lot of fun was had. In the process, our students raised over €540 from our bake sale for our 2 chosen charities.
Credit must be given to our extremely hardworking TYs and our Stand Up Club who all helped to organise the week!
